We love social drinking
Tee Beverages was born from a love affair with social drinking and a desire to connect over beverages. Over time, we began to experience the negative effects that the excess sugar and unnecessary additives in our drinks were having on our health.
We grew up working in the service industry, in alcohol sales, marketing, operations, and eventually manufacturing. Social drinking is a pillar of our culture and community. To us, meeting up for drinks goes much deeper than just enjoying the product you’re consuming; it’s the vibe of connecting for that drink and the relationship that connection fosters.
We wanted to examine the why; why is social drinking so meaningful to us?
This prompted us to look into the history of tea in European and Asian cultures and what it represents. We saw the depth of the personal connections that resulted from sharing something as simple as the combination of tea leaves and water, and realized that the comforting feeling of the resulting taste could transport you, no matter who you are or where you’re from, to another time, place or memory.
We also looked closely at the culture of chatting, gossip and good old fashioned catch ups with friends, and the ways in which using a beverage as a medium for this communication can elevate the conversation.
